ST. PETE SWANS HOST 2ND ANNUAL INT’L RULES TEST
Football takes on a truly International flavor in the ‘Burg tonight, as the St. Petersburg Swans (Australian Rules) host Tampa Bay GAA (Gaelic Football) in the Second Annual International Rules Test Match in St. Pete, at historic Richard ‘Dick’ Turner Field in downtown’s EDGE District.
The match will begin at 7 PM, and will pit the region’s best Aussie Rules players against the area’s premier Gaelic footballers in what promises to be a fast and furious affair, with 2017 bragging rights on the line,
Last year’s inaugural test saw the Swans run out 108-67 winners in a match that might have turned out far differently if time hadn’t run out on GAA’s furious second-half comeback.
Admission and parking are free at the historic football ground in the shadow of Tropicana Field, and the match closes out the Swans’ Pre-season Series, Presented by Rollbotto.
The St. Petersburg Swans 2017 Home Opener is Saturday, April 8, when the Red and White host Pittsburgh at 7 PM.
