REMATCH ALERT! BOMBERS, SCORPS BATTLE FOR PRECIOUS FOUR
The debutant West Side Bombers – the newest side in the Major League Footy Western Conference – will look for to push their way up the 2018 Major League Footy Premiership ladder with a repeat of last week’s result over the Phoenix Scorpions, while Phoenix hopes to move away from the race for the wooden spoon.
With the Western Conference-leading Tombstone Marshalls on a bye week, the Bombers can take over the West lead with a resounding result.
The Western Conference race sees added pressure for ladder position, as the Eastern Conference sides had an eight-week head-start in the competition.
While that will work itself out under the competition’s unbalanced schedule format, every four points looms as crucial as the summer heats up.
In a scheduling quirk, the 10 AM MST ball-up at Tempe Sports Complex marks the first-ever concurrent Eastern and Western Conference matches, as St. Petersburg and Miami get under way in South Florida at 1 PM EDT.
Tempe Sports Complex is located at 8403 S. Hardy Drive in Tempe, Arizona:
