MLF WEEK 8: TIGERS LOOK TO UPEND SWANS
Ball up is 11 AM.
The Swans held on to turn away Pat Bilder and the Tigers in a hard fought 126.96.36.199 – 2.6.63 in the Lakeland side’s Major League Footy debut. Two late super goals pushed St. Petersburg across the finish.
With the Tigers (0-1) also looking at an increased slate of games as the 2018 Major League Footy Premiership Season gets into full swing, St. Petersburg (3-1) can pull away from the ladder by sweeping tomorrow’s play.
At 2-1, and currently holding a slight edge over the Swans in percentages, Miami is clinging to a precarious second spot on the ladder, as Tampa Bay, Suncoast and StarfishFC are closing ranks in a chase for the #2 position.
Should the Tigers capture both matches Saturday, their own stock will be on the rise – and could also see them overtake the Saints.
Tomorrow’s double-header will begin at 11 AM, following a combined 10 AM training session. The double-header is a free, ticketed event, and free parking is available in the neighborhoods to the immediate east and west of the Common. The Common is located on the north (22nd Avenue North) side of Crescent Lake.
