Footy fans across Australia – and the world – will soon have a chance to experience fast, furious and ‘Distinctively American’ Major League Footy action.
In an exclusive arrangement, Major League Footy today announced that pioneering Australian hybrid sports broadcaster BarTV Sports has secured production and streaming rights to a package of 14 matches throughout the MLF 2018-19 Premiership Season.
The arrangement will include a total of six regular-season ‘double-headers’ – games played as two 10-minute halves – plus the MLF Preliminary Final (April 13, 2019) and MLF Championship Final (April 20, 2019), each played as four 10-minute quarters.
Regular season matches, as well as the Preliminary Final, will be played in the Tampa Bay region of Florida. The 2018-19 Major League Footy Championship Final will be played in the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale metro region.
The St. Petersburg Swans broadcast team of Rich Libero (play by play) and Miro Gladovic (color commentary) will pair up for many MLF matches coming to BarTV Sports.
Both are among the Top 12 broadcast markets in the United States.
BarTV Sports broadcasts Rugby Union, Rugby League, Soccer, Netball and other sports across an innovative streaming platform and pub/club network, and is also the Official Broadcast Partner of the NEAFL.
Major League Footy is an independent competition of ‘distinctly American’ Aussie Rules Football, with a premiership season running October through March.
