Gold Coast Stingrays gridiron footballer Ben McIntosh made a shock jump to the top of the 2018 scoring leadership with 11 majors in his MLF debut May 12.

With an astounding 11 goal debut in a StarfishFC 142-78 win over the league-leading St. Petersburg Swans, Gold Coast native and recent Florida import Ben McIntosh has stormed to the 2018 Major League Footy scoring lead.

In a debut outing that also saw McIntosh also capture the week’s Best On Ground honors, the 20 year old former Gold Coast Stingray gridiron footballer marked his return from a lingering injury that saw his MLF debut delayed through the season’s first month.

His performance sees McIntosh overtake Miami Saints tall Neil Cohen on the scoring ladder, while St. Petersburg’s Jason Blackbourn put up 38 points in the loss the Starfish FC, keeping the kiwi solidly in the mix for the season high scoring race.
