The Tampa Bay Bombers (2-2) look to surge up the MLF ladder this weekend when they visit Starfish FC (1-2).

Coming off a huge last-minute win over the ladder-leading St. Petersburg Swans, the Tampa Bay Bombers (2-2) are poised to do more damage on the 2018 Major League Footy Premiership Season ladder when they visit StarfishFC (1-2) in a matinee double-header, Saturday in St. Petersburg.

With last Saturday’s Florida matches postponed due to severe weather that has persisted throughout the week – but is expected to not be a factor going forward – the Bombers are set up with something of a schedule advantage over the other sides hoping to pass up the Swans in the run home.

Ball-up for Saturday’s first game is 11 AM EDT.

In Arizona, the MLF Western Conference minor premiers the Phoenix Scorpions (4-1) seek to finish on a high note in the Summer Series finale, Saturday in Tempe.

Winners of four on the trot, the Scorpions passed up the Tombstone Marshals on the Conference ladder with their 36-point win over West Side last week.

The Scorpions draw the curtains on the Summer Series with a 10 AM MST clash with the Tempe Devils (0-3). The Devils are hoping to avoid the Wooden Spoon, and likely need a win to do so, as the Lakeland Tigers – also 0-3 – have a full slate of games remaining.
