The St. Petersburg Swans (3-4) will host StarfishFC (1-0) in a Major League Footy rematch Saturday in St. Pete.

Needing a win to kick-start the club’s mid-season fortunes, the St. Petersburg Swans head into Major League Footy intrasquad rematch with StarfishFC in search of a ‘W’ in order to prevent the ‘Fish from overtaking them on the Major League Footy 2017 Summer Ladder.

With the expected return from Melbourne of new Senior Coach Gregory Bray, the Swans will be looking to avenge a May 27 thrashing in their first match with their intrasquad rivals.

StarfishFC (1-0) ran out easy winners Memorial Day weekend, notching a 16.2.98 – 4.2.26 drubbing at Crescent Lake Common, and can equal Orlando AFC on the ladder with a victory Saturday.

St. Pete stands at a shock 3-4 in Major League Footy Florida action and are 0-3 in USAFL play, losing road matches to Atlanta, Ft. Lauderdale and Nashville.

Four USAFL matches remain on the Swans’ season slate.

Saturday’s Major League Footy intrasquad match will follow the combined club’s regular Saturday training session at Crescent Lake in St. Petersburg.

The training session will begin at 10 AM, and the match will follow at 11 AM.
