Standing at 1-1 heading into Saturday’s clash against the Pasco Black Dog, StarfishFC  remain in the mix for the Major League Footy Florida Winter League Championship Final.

Currently third on the ladder and trailing the Suncoast Suns (3-0) and St. Petersburg Swans (1-0), this weekend’s result will tell the tale for Greg Bray and is charges.

Win, and they take sole possession of second place, with the Swans’ upcoming matches becoming more significant in the premiership chase.

Lose, and they fall to 5th on the Winter circuit ladder, with their chances all but crushed – much like those of the Dreamtime starfish from which their name is inspired.

They’ll be facing an equally-hungry Black Dog squad captained by Jason Kofender.

Although still looking for their first win of the winter season, Black Dog FC has reason to hold out hope –  a late-season run will put them right back into the Championship discussion.

Saturday’s match will immediately follow a weekly training session, 10 AM, on the Common at Crescent Lake in St. Petersburg. All trainings practices and competitions are always free, and are open to co-ed players of all ages and skill level. New and interested players may call or text: (727) 490-9217 for information.
