10-GOAL 2ND QUARTER LEADS ‘FISH TO W

With Starfish FC coming off an 0-2 start to the season in a resounding statement game highlighted by newcomer Ben McIntosh’s 11 goal debut, the race for the 2018 Major League Footy Premiership has taken an emphatic turn.

McIntosh, a Gold Coast native and recent Florida transplant, helped the ‘Fish take home their first win of the season, jumping all the way to the fourth spot on the ladder in a 142-78 thrashing of the league-leading Swans.

Solid performances from several St. Pete stalwarts – including tall Jason Blackbourn – weren’t enough to change the outcome in Week Five after compiling a shock 75-point deficit at the big break.

Still on top of the standings, St. Petersburg did see its percentages sliced as a result of the proceedings.
